I'm Ashley Knowles — a security practitioner and founder who writes about what he's actually doing. Range is the point: ISO 27001 and vCISO work sits right next to systems engineering, AI, money, motorsport and the odd curiosity. No hype, working shown.
I run Securitribe (vCISO and the SecureOS platform), where I'm an ISO 27001 practitioner in the truest sense — the one sitting in the seat being audited, not just advising from a distance. I'm AICD-trained on governance and risk, and I've spent the better part of twenty years deep in infrastructure: engineering and architecture across Financial Services, Mining & Energy, and Defence & Federal Government, at firms including Deloitte, Avanade and Leidos.
I think in systems. I'm allergic to hype and FUD, and I'd rather show the working than sell you a platform. When I'm not doing security, I'm hands-on with something — tinkering with AI automation, chasing lap times on a sim rig, or digging into whatever's caught my curiosity that week.
